Re: Nolasco's Hangar 9 3.1m Sukhoi Build
My engine arrived Friday so I'm running out of excuses to not get this thing done! In between putting a couple flights on the Raven and having to drive about 120 miles roundtrip to deliver a quadcopter to a buddy of mine, I got the cowl ring glued up and also thoroughly soaked the canopy mount block...

Re: Nolasco's Hangar 9 3.1m Sukhoi Build
Ultimately, it's just not the plane I want. I really want a WWII plane that sits on the gear and has plug-in wings. None of this silly 1 piece wing stuff. I'm thinking some kind of FW190 or perhaps a big Sea Fury. I'd really like a big F2G in Race #57 trim! The Dan Sullivan Memorial event is in June...

Haha yeah that is a Top Flite Gold Edition 50cc Corsair that I was planning to fly in the big annual scale event at our club field. 2 Years ago!

Re: Thinking about getting a new radio...
Here's a couple shots of the DS14 while I was working on programming. You can see on the powered-up photo some of the telemetry readouts. This is fully customizable. Antenna signal strength, RX voltage, trim positions etc. I've since added my flight timer to this screen. This TX is capable of so muc...

Re: Nolasco's Hangar 9 3.1m Sukhoi Build
Part of the reason why it sat so long is because it took me some time to decide what I was going to do for components. Like Joe Hunt and Monkey, I quit flying about 8 years ago. Unlike JH I refocused on RC Cars and Trucks. Also during this time I started P1 Hobbies along with my good buddy Blake. So...

Nolasco's Hangar 9 3.1m Sukhoi Build
I've been kinda dinkin' around with my Hangar 9 Sukhoi 3.1M. Man this is one big a$$ plane! Barely fits in my plane room and I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to get it out of the shop when she's all together! Might have to knock some walls down or something... Anyway, I started out by bo...

Re: Thinking about getting a new radio...
My Jeti DS14 arrived Monday! I set it up for my 33% Raven and flew it tonight. This thing is pretty damn sweet. The gimbals have a real nice feel to them. Actually the whole radio just feels good to hold! Fyi-Jeti receivers are actually priced very well. The R11 that I have in the Raven sells for ab...
