I have been running one and it has been great. The only hiccup I had was I didn't have it set up right in the radio. At first when I would turn off the ignition the led would sit and blink. I didn't have the end point all the way down for it to register off, so it was right at the on off point. I like the built in voltage regulator also.

So, could that happen the same way on the other end point? Where the engine might go on and off with the switch "on"? I read somewhere to make sure you go max end point... I'm still ignorant about this device. :)

I'm sure it could do that. The switch is based on the signal output of the channel it is plugged into. I didn't have my endpoint all the way to -150. Funny thing is the problem didn't show up (or didn't notice it more likely) until i had 10 or 15 flights with it.

What I'm also wondering about is Tech-Aero's recommendation of failsafe engine off. One I'm not sure if the engine goes off with any small glitch or a prolonged loss of signal? And, two if it goes off with a small glitch I'm not sure I would like that in a harrier roll. ;) So, trying to decided Failsafe, or not Failsafe. I've always had this trouble with Failsafe... I've always kinda thought of it like running for a doorway in an Earthquake... basically survival in this disastrous situations is going to come down to luck, imo. Through the years the idea that I took time to set something up that might make things worse kinda has always annoyed me. haha

So, I removed my ignition battery and ignition switch... and replaced them with this filter and LED. Dropped 3oz in the process and... for me... have an easier charging situation. Charging was the main reason I got one of these IBEC units. Using this unit with the brushless servos and all I have to do it swap out two packs every 15-20 flights. Giving me 15-20 flights of time to charge up the first two packs. Very easy and convenient, as I see it.

BTW, that fuel dot I got from Aeroworks... it's the easiest fuel dot to use I've ever had, I'm very happy with it. The Vent Dot that Aeroworks sells is working out great too.
